Why are all of the signs written in traditional characters?

Because I live in Taiwan, which uses traditional characters, and I take all of my own photos.

Will you ever consider adding simplified Chinese?

Possibly. If I ever find myself in a country where simplified characters are standard, I will certainly snap some photos and post signs with simplified characters.

In the future I also may consider accepting reader submitted photos, in which case I'd likely accept signs with simplified characters.

What's your background in Chinese?

Full disclosure: I am still very much a student of Mandarin Chinese and often I learn just as much from these signs as you do. However, I research each post to make sure the translations and commentary are accurate!
